THE CATHOLIC MASS MUSIC

In terms of the music for the Mass you will need a hymn for the Presentation of the Gifts, Kiss of Peace and Communion.  There are many to choose from but some more popular ones would be The Gift Of Love, Supper of The Lord, Make Me a Channel of You Peace, Gift of Finest Wheat, There Is Love, One Bread One Body.  You can feel free to leave these to our judgment if you are unfamiliar.  I have never heard the Prayer of the Faithful sung.  Usually a friend or family member reads them.  The Responsorial is the one that can either be sung or read.  That is your choice.  Again, you could have a friend or family member read this or we can perform it with our vocalist.  Also, if you are doing a dedication to the Blessed Mother we would play the Ave Maria.  This occurs towards the end of the Mass.  Father will need to have the parts of the Mass sung.  This includes the Holy, Holy, Holy, Memorial Acclamation and Amen.  We like to use the Mass of Creation.  Also, we will can play the Celtic Alleluia before the Gospel reading.  It is not common to print the words to the hymns in your wedding program.  Most guests do not join in during weddings anyway. - as told by Harpist Barbara Gallagher
