Hi, I'm Geri Rizzo!
I am happy to be able to make available to you some of the finest
musicians in the area
for your wedding or special event! I studied for years with
several world class flutists and attended the New England
Conservatory of Music (many years ago!) on a full scholarship.
I married young, raised my children, and played mostly in my church
during those years. At that time I also worked for two major
corporations and developed a good business sense. In 1990, I
pursued music once again with a renewed passion and the ability to
market myself. Since then I have played from orchestra pit to
rock band.
Thus the evolution of Magic Flute Wedding Music, which has been on the web now for several years and has won "Best of the Shore" for two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009!. And for good
reason.. All of our musicians are fine professionals who have studied seriously at conservatories, fine art schools and/or with famous instrumentalists or vocalists in their particular field, and have been playing for many years. We not only sound beautiful, but also dress and conduct ourselves professionally as well. And if you are confused about the music for your Catholic Mass and/or communion, or Jewish, Irish or any traditional music - worry no more! We've got you covered. |

You can be assured of personal one on one service with us! When you book a specific ensemble, you are sure to get that ensemble except in the event of emergency or a recurring obligatory gig when a substitute player may be called in (i.e., free lance orchestral events are often called in last minute). Magic Flute's musicians have played in some of the most beautiful churches, banquet venues and beaches in the states of New Jersey, and Pa. (Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs). We travel from Cape May to South Jersey to North Jersey; Delaware Valley and Philadelphia! We love what we do and it shows! So relax... and leave the music to us!

Thank you for visiting our pages. First and foremost, we are not an agency, but a network of top musicians who have studied for years at fine arts/music schools and conservatories, and with renown musicians in our field. The cost of studying for years with these artists combined with a fine arts school is usually very expensive, but we believe in doing what we love and using our God given talents.
Like athletes, we are dedicated to our craft and must practice daily to sound as beautiful as we do, and we also have arm and finger muscles and embouchures (a term to describe the muscles around the mouth which a wind player forms) to keep in shape. However, we are not paid anywhere near the salaries of athletes.
We play beautiful, expensive instruments which we insure, and most of us carry liability insurance in order to play in certain venues which require this. Sometimes the price of our instrument and insurance are comparable to the cost of a car. Some of us are union members, some are not; some of us teach, some do not. However, that does not reflect upon our playing ability; it is a personal choice and depends upon if we play in orchestras or venues which require this.
Our professional, flexible musicians have played from orchestra pit to casino to jazz or rock venues and on recordings, and can chart any song you desire to be played at your wedding or special event. Bottom line, we want you to be happy with your music...
A typical bride pays more for her wedding gown, flowers and other services than the music, then balks at our fees. If this is you, remember that beautiful, provocative music sets the scene and provides the ambience.... and because you are so caught up in your wedding details and emotions, you may not hear it - but you will most certainly appreciate it when you hear us on your wedding video! After all, it's your wedding, and you deserve the best! ♫ ♫ ♫
